MANCHESTER, CT — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

Nevertheless, Manchester has taken the cautious route and called off the annual fireworks show for 2021.

But some are back. We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening near Manchester so you can start planning now.

June 26

  • The Hartford Yard Goats host the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Dunkin' Donuts Park at 6:05pm. Stick around after the game for a fireworks show.

July 3

  • New Britain Bees host the Worcester Bravehearts for Fireworks Night
  • Fireworks at Lake Compounce, 185 Enterprise Dr., Bristol, at dusk
  • Hartford Yard Goats versus the Altoona Curve, 6:05 p.m. A fireworks show will follow the game.
  • A fireworks display will be launched from the Higgins ballfield at the Enfield Town Green at 9:30 p.m.

Aug. 6

  • New Britain Bees host the Norwich Sea Unicorns for Fireworks Night, Part 2

Aug. 28

  • Darius Rucker and fireworks, Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron House Boulevard, 4:30-10 p.m.

Tolland County

June 26

  • Fireworks — Hebron Lions Agricultural Society, 347 Gilead St, Hebron, 9:30 p.m.

July 3

  • SummerFest & Fireworks, Stafford High School, 5 to 10 p.m.

  • Vernon's annual July in the Sky fireworks display at Henry Park and Downtown Rockville. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Activities are slated to begin at 6 p.m. The entry fee for cars at Henry Park is $5 and the fee is $1 for people walking in
