55 MPH Wind Gusts Possible For Northern Connecticut Monday

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for northern Connecticut from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday.

The weather service said to expect winds between 20-30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph possible.

"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. A few trees and large Tree limbs could be blown down. This may result in a few power outages too."

The weather service said we can expect some more rain tonight and a slight chance of more rain showers on Monday. Election Day will be cold but also sunny and then on Wednesday temperatures begin to moderate, and we may approach 70 degrees this upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine too.

Showers, mainly before 8pm. Patchy fog before 9pm. Low around 35. South wind 8 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday
A slight chance of showers before 3pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

A chance of showers, mainly between 2am and 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
