'Court Officer' Hit By Vehicle Near Manchester Superior Court

MANCHESTER, CT — Police are investigating a car versus pedestrian accident that reportedly injured two judicial marshals near Manchester Superior court.

The accident was first reported at about 8 a.m. Monday. The Superior Court Building is located on Center Street.

After hitting "a court officer" the car fled down Center Street, according to authorities. State Police say they are looking for Jose Antonio Lopez, 42, who is operating a white vehicle with a white spoiler on it, possibly with Massachusetts license plates.

"He is wanted for questioning in the hit and run outside of the Manchester Courthouse, GA 12, on March 2, 2020, which injured two Judicial Marshals; the vehicle may have sustained front end damage in the incident," State Police said.
