CT Snow Totals For Towns That Actually Got Snow — 02/18/19
And here are some reasons why many locations woke up to no snow this morning.

For those of you in Southern Connecticut, you're probably like what snow. But in far northern sections of the state several inches of snow did fall in Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties.
But in Southern Connecticut, we ended up with a dusting and or coating of snow and a light glaze of ice. Two to four inches of snow was forecast for Southern Connecticut and clearly that didn't occur. (See below on why we got nothing.) However, the forecast for northern sections of the state was pretty much on the mark.
Here are the snow accumulation numbers for select towns in Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties. Of course there are no numbers for Southern Connecticut towns because we didn't get any accumulating snow.

So why no snow in Southern Connecticut?
Want to know why the forecast was a bust in some towns? Well there just wasn't much of a storm. Attached is the 21 member SREF from midday yesterday at Bridgeport. Average precip forecast was just shy of 0.5" and actual was 0.13". Less precip, less lift, warmer atmosphere. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/fXE2VWdEOM

This system is an underachiever for southern CT, but a few inches fell in the interior and roads early this AM were tough! More light stuff on/off today with drizzle and light snow. Another storm on it's way for later Wednesday into Thursday. #NBCCT pic.twitter.com/lwxMIlISka

Some minor snow totals across the northern half of the state. The southern half saw snow mix with sleet and freezing rain..that definitely had an impact on our original snow forecast. @WTNH pic.twitter.com/039dKRMH2A

You got 2 inches of snow overnight. It just....ughhh, melted before you woke up. Yeah, let's go with that! https://t.co/SDTbd8dIpp
