DUI Checkpoint On Tap For Manchester To Begin Holiday Weekend
A drunken driving checkpoint has been scheduled in Manchester to kick off the long weekend.

MANCHESTER, CT — Authorities will be out in force looking for drunken drivers to kick off the long Memorial Day weekend.
The Manchester Police Department in conjunction with Metro Traffic Services have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint for Friday.
The checkpoint will be set up on Buckland Street near Tolland Turnpike. Both northbound and southbound traffic will be stopped from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The checkpoint is part of a Federal Highway Safety Grant that is coordinated by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
