East Catholic Maintains Top Spot In Weekly Baseball Poll

ACROSS CONNECTICUT — Heading into league tournament action for some high school baseball teams and the final days of regular season play for others, East Catholic maintained its grip on the top spot in the final sports media poll before the CIAC state tournaments.

The Eagles sport a perfect 19-0 record, outscoring opponents by a whopping 176-26 margin, and gathered first-place nods from 12 of 14 voters. Daniel Hand grabbed the other two top votes to remain in second.

Here are the top 10, with last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other schools receiving votes.
