Final Connecticut High School Boys Basketball Poll Released

A last-second victory over top-rated East Catholic in the CCC tournament final pushed Bristol Central to the top of the year-end rankings.

CONNECTICUT — From day one of the preseason until the Central Connecticut Conference tournament final, East Catholic was ranked No. 1 in every weekly statewide boys basketball poll. That is, until the Eagles fell in the final seconds of the conference tournament to another unbeaten school, Bristol Central, lifting the Rams into the top spot of the season-ending poll of state sports media members.

Bristol Central collected 17 of 19 first-place votes, with Sacred Heart capturing the other two to place second. East Catholic wound up third.

Here are the final rankings, with last week's placement in parentheses, including all teams which received votes.
