Hartford/Tolland County Patch Readers Pick Their Favorite Pies
Patch readers in Hartford and Tolland counties have picked their favorite pies in honor of National Pie Day.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTIES, CT — A Patch survey asking readers in Hartford and Tolland counties to name their favorite pie wound up being a tie ... and the winners were a pair of traditional favorites — blueberry and apple.
The question was proposed to area Patch readers in honor of National Pie Day, which was Saturday.
A dozen different pies were named.

- Blueberry: 20.7 percent
- Apple 20.7 percent
- Chocolate cream: 10.3 percent
- Pecan: 10.3 percent
- Key lime: 6.9 percent
- Pumpkin: 6.9 percent
- Lemon meringue: 6.9 percent
- Cherry 3.4 percent
- Peach 3.4 percent
- Coconut custard: 3.4 percent
- Apple crumb: 3.4 percent
- Pecan chocolate chip 3.4 percent
