Tropical Storm Erin: CT To Feel Impacts On Wednesday
Tropical Storm Erin will remain far offshore Wednesday but there may be some serious impacts Connecticut will receive from the storm.

CONNECTICUT — The remnants of Tropical Storm Erin will impact Connecticut on Wednesday bringing heavy downpours to parts of the state along with the chance for thunderstorms, especially this afternoon and evening. Connecticut.
According to Connecticut's top meteorologists this is a tricky forecast because the heavy rain and possible thunderstorms are expected to be sporadic across the state so some areas may see inches of rain while some may get very little rain.
Erin will remain far offshore of Connecticut today but its moisture will bring the heavy rain at times and possible thunderstorms.

Well, this will be fun (I think SE CT is a bit overdone...) The takeaway: We'll have tropical moisture this afternoon from #Erin that will produce locally heavy downpours *not a soaker for everyone* and potential flash flooding #nbcct pic.twitter.com/Z6khMd7iLu

This is not going to be exact but I wanted to show you an example of how *weird* it could get Wednesday! Locally heavy rain, flooding...the question is where does the axis of heaviest rain set up? A big range in totals expected. pic.twitter.com/FhBwXBUpnt

Evening Short Range Ensemble Forecast (SREF) with a helpful 0.0"-3.5" of rain forecast for BDL tomorrow night. I do think that there will be a wide variation in totals across the state with many areas seeing only a bit and some areas getting a lot. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/WakFM01faF
