EAST HARTFORD, CT — The latest Hidden Gem seems to be a natural for life during the coronavirus pandemic — and beyond.

Wellness and self-care are skyrocketing as a result of the pandemic and souring stress and the uptick is on for medication apps, at-home wellness routines and finding nooks of time for fitness and mental breaks as local folks continue to cope with working from home, virtual school, house upkeep and more.

With that said, welcome to the newest self-care sensation to hot the — Just Be, a wellness retreat Tucked into 36 Main St. in East Hartford.

Now in its second year in business, the day-destination was launched on the onset of the pandemic by a local woman, Liz Kametz, who was also combatting "burnout."

Unlike a traditional spa, this practice offers daily meditation, detoxing foot baths, light therapy and more.
