Major Food Bank Eyeing Manchester Location For Regional Center

Manchester will have a part in feeding more Americans.

MANCHESTER, CT — The Midwest Food Bank is planning to establish its New England base of operations in Manchester.

An application has been submitted to the local Planning & Zoning Commission for a special exemption permit for a portion of 579 Middle Turnpike West.

For bank officials are proposing only minor changes to the building but would occupy the entire vacant portion, planning officials said.
