MANCHESTER, CT — A man spent the weekend in jail on a six-figure bond in a Manchester stabbing case, police said.

At 9:42 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance in the area of 140 Hilliard St.

When police arrived, they saw one man pointing a large knife at another, according to a report. He was later identified as 33-year-old Kelvin McCullough of Hartford.

McCullough complied with an order to drop the knife and was detained by officers, a report indicates. Meanwhile, the other man directed police toward the entrance to the building, where a 33-year-old Bridgeport man was reeling from multiple stab wounds — including a large laceration to the abdomen, according to a repot.

The man was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
