Manchester Elks Name Citizen Of The Year
Kelly Rametta is the Manchester Elks Citizen of the Year.

MANCHESTER, CT — The Manchester Lodge of Elks No. 1893 has named Kelly Rametta its Citizen of the Year.
Rametta is slated to receive the award on June 25.
Tickets are available at the Manchester Elks Lodge, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Highland Park Market and MARC Inc., of Manchester. The award will be presented at the Elks Lodge at 30 Bissell St. with a dinner in recognition of her volunteerism, charitable acts and overall community involvement.

Here is her biography:
Kelly is passionate about the Manchester Community and has supported it and its needs for over 25 years in many capacities. Kelly’s enthusiasm is consistent and contagious. She brings the mood in the room up whenever she enters. She is a giver and an advocate, and the Manchester Community is fortunate to have her commitment, energy, and passion. Kelly loves Manchester!
She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together of Manchester for over 10 years. The last 7 years she has led the planning and coordination of the annual volunteer picnic serving over 1,000 volunteers in a few short hours. All with food donated from community organizations solicited by Kelly. She has been an active member of the Executive Board for the Manchester Community Services Council for over two years supporting community alliances that remove barriers to human services as a critical component for enhancing the quality of life for all Manchester residents. Kelly has been a proud and active Member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce for more than 10 years. She has been a Chamber Ambassador and a key leader in raising money at many Chamber events including earning the top earner award at a recent GMCC Golf Tournament.
Kelly has donated time and gifts to so many other organizations in the community. These include the Taste of Manchester, The Manchester Road Race, Manchester’s Cruisin' on Main Street, The Relay for Life, The American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Society, MARC Inc. of Manchester, MACC Charities, Mary’s Place, and Montessori School of West Hartford, just to name a few.
Kelly works for MARC Inc. of Manchester, recently changing roles from the Community Outreach Liaison to now Vending Facilitator representing Vending For Change, LLC; the company owned & operated by the People Served of MARC. Prior to this she spent over twenty years at another Manchester establishment, Crestfield Rehabilitation and Fenwood Manor in the Community Development and Admissions office. Kelly is loyal and gives her time tirelessly.
Kelly is also raising her two beautiful young children, her daughter Alex who is 5 and her son Ryan who is 2.5. While also part time raising her teenage son Ben, who lives primarily overseas. Kelly’s husband also works in the Manchester community and can be seen tagging along with her at many activities.
Kelly is known for her trademark greetings and closing. You can always expect an enthusiastic” Hiiiiiii” and a heartfelt “have a fantastic day” from Kelly.
With charity being a major emphasis in Rametta's life and the Elks Mission, all proceeds from the 2021 Citizen of the Year Dinner will go to MARC Inc., of Manchester
