Manchester Fatal Hit-And-Run Probe A 'Community Effort,' Cops Say
A Manchester police spokesman said a fatal crash investigation has become 'a real community effort.'

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police on Thursday said that businesses along Parker Street have been "more than cooperative" in providing surveillance footage to help them find a hit-and-run driver involved in a May 22 fatal accident.
A police spokesman went as far to say the investigation has become "a real community effort."
The incident took place at about 2 a.m. in the area of Parker Street near Utopia Road. A man was hit by a vehicle and the driver left the scene. The man was found unresponsice and was taken to area hospital.

He died several days later and has been identified as as Michael Taylor, of Somers.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
