Manchester Man Killed in Hartford Shooting

Melvin Perry, 30, of Manchester, was killed in an early morning shooting in Hartford on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013.

A 30-year old Manchester was killed and a 34-year old Hartford woman was injured during a shooting that occurred in Hartford early Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, according to the Hartford Courant. 

The Courant reported that the shooting, which is still under investigation, occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday on Durham Street in Hartford. 

Melvin Perry, 30, of Manchester, suffered "multiple fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene," according to the Courant. The unidentified 34-year old woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center with two gunshot wounds, which were considered "non-life threatening." 

No arrests have been made in the shooting. Hartford police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Sgt. Brandon O'Brien at 860-757-4089 or to call the anonymous "Crime Stoppers" tip line at 860-722-8477.
