Manchester Memorial Day Parade Called Off For 2021

MANCHESTER, CT —The Manchester Memorial Day Parade and the corresponding Center Park program have been called off for 2021.

They were slated for May 31.

Because of "safety concerns for our citizens and all that would participate in the parade," General Manager Scott Shanley, the Manchester Board of Directors, the local health department and the Manchester Permanent Memorial Day Committee, with much regret, decided to cancel the event.

"We will never forget the men and women in uniform, who have faced the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and we encourage all residents to spend time this Memorial Day 2021 to remember our fallen men and women in your own personal way," a statement from town officials said.
