Manchester NH Man Charged After Standoff At Manchester CT Hotel

A wanted man was arrested at a Manchester hotel Monday night.

MANCHESTER, CT — A wanted man from Manchester, NH was caught in Manchester, CT after a standoff with police at a hotel.

The scene at the Courtyard by Marriott on Slater Street unraveled at abut 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities said they were attempting to contact 26-year-old Jordan Pappalardo, who had an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire. Pappalardo was staying at the Marriot, authorities said.

When contact was made with Pappalardo, he declared he had a gun and threatened to shoot officers at the scene, authorities said.

Rooms were evacuated and the Capitol Region Emergency Services Team was called to the scene. After about three hours of negotiations between Pappalardo and a 20-year-old woman in the room, Pappalardo surrendered, authorities said.

Pappalardo was charged locally with:

  • Being a fugitive from justice
  • Two counts of second-degree threatening
  • Second-degree breach of peace
  • Second-degree reckless endangerment

Pappalardo's bond was initially set at $400,000 with a court date of Tuesday.
