Manchester Obituary: Eric Manner, 62
Ric worked tirelessly to build his career in the Information Technology field for over 35 years as an employee of IBM, Aetna and Cigna.

Eric (Ric) W. Manner, 62 of Manchester, loving husband of Diana (Jordan) Manner, passed away peacefully at home on November 13th 2018, after battling pancreatic cancer. Ric and Diana celebrated 40 years of marriage and raised two wonderful sons.
He was born on December 11th, 1955 in West Hartford, son of the late Eugene Manner and Edythe (Osberg) Radding. Ric was an active member of the Indian Guides and Boy Scouts and graduated from Hall High School as a member of the class of 1974. He went on to attend Manchester Community College where he met his beautiful wife, Diana.
Ric worked tirelessly to build his career in the Information Technology field for over 35 years as an employee of IBM, Aetna and most recently, Cigna. He joined the Masonic Fraternity in 1993 where he later had the privilege of raising his son Karl.

Ric served twice as Master of the Unionville Lodge and most recently as Master of the Wethersfield Lodge. He also joined the Scottish Rite where he served as Most Wise Master, Thrice Potent Master, Commander and Chief and was given the distinctive honor of joining the 33rd Degree. Additionally he joined the York Rite. Ric exemplified Masonic values through his thoughtful words, selfless actions and commitment to charitable causes.
Ric enjoyed his free time playing golf and participating in softball leagues for many years. He had fond memories of summers spent on Cape Cod from an early age; a family tradition he carried on with his wife, sons, sisters and their families in later years. Ric was an avid boater fisherman who cherished his time spent on the water with family and friends. He a member of the Hartford Power Squadron for many years and was a member of Shennecosset Yacht Club in Groton, where he formed many wonderful friendships.

In addition to his wife, Diana, he is also survived by his two sons, Karl of Manchester, and Kurt and his partner, Jordana Morvidelli of Northampton, MA; two sisters, Constance Manner of Kensington, and Candace Gills and her husband William of West Hartford, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 from 3-4 PM at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave. Windsor. The funeral service will be held following visiting hours at 4 PM at the funeral home.
