Manchester Officials Want To Create Expanded Civil Rights Mural
Officials in Manchester want to expand on the current MLK mural at a local recreation center.

MANCHESTER, CT — Recreation officials in Manchester want to expand on the new Matin Luther King mural to create an accompanying piece of art called the Manchester Civil Rights Legends Mural.
Manchester's Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation is partnering with CT Murals for the project.
The goal is to "build upon the inspiration catalyzed by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. mural", which was fashioned this winter on the side of the Leisure Lab at the Mahoney Center Recreation Center on Cedar Street.

Municipal officials are working with nationally recognized artists Corey Pane, ARCY, and Ben Keller to create three "more larger than life" portraits of leaders in present day or the "historical Civil Rights Movement."
