Manchester Woman, Hartford Man Charged In East Hartford Homicide
East Hartford police have made arrests in a local homicide investigation.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A Manchester woman has been charged with hindering prosecution in a series of arrests related to an East Hartford homicide investigation, police said Wednesday.
Ashley Quintana, 32, of Manchester, was identified in a police report as the sister of Angel Martinez, who was charged Wednesday morning with murder and criminal possession of a pistol or revolver related to the shooting death of 35-year-old William Gonzalez outside 37/47 Burnside Avenue on April 24.
Martinez, 35, of Hartford, was being held on $1.25 million court-set bond Thursday afternoon, police said.

Quintana has been charged with second-degree hindering prosecution and was being held Thursday afternoon on $50,000 court-set bond, police said.


According to a police report, shortly before 7:30 a.m. on April 24, East Hartford Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired in a parking lot near Elm and Olmstead Streets, located to the rear of 37/47 Burnside Ave.

Officers located Gonzalez, an East Hartford resident, suffering from two apparent gunshot wounds. Officers administered CPR to him until East Hartford Fire Department paramedics and continued medical treatment, according to a police report.
Gonzalez was then taken to a local hospital, where he later died, police said.
