Manchester's Public Pools To Open With Restrictions

Manchester's public swimming pools are set to open for the summer season next month.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester's public swimming pools are set to open for the summer season next month under Phase 2 coronavirus guidelines.

That's July 6 for residents marking their calendars. Town officials made the announcement Monday.

All local pools will be open on July 6 with modified schedules and entrance procedures, officials said.

In accordance with Phase 2 protocol:

  • There will be limited capacities at all pools
  • No swimming lessons offered this season
  • Admission to the pools will be restricted to Manchester residents only and non-resident guests will not be allowed to enter

Officials said pool attendants will be increasing cleaning and disinfection, and encouraging social distancing by changing deck layouts.
