MANCHESTER, CT — The driver of a moped was injured Tuesday evening in a crash on Chapel Road in Manchester, police said.

The collision between the moped and a car vehicle took place at 5:25 p.m. at the intersection of Chapel and Tolland Turnpike, police said.

Police said the injuries to the moped operator, who was taken to Hartford Hospital, were potentially serious.

The driver of the car has been cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing, police said. Police said anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has additional information on it can contact Officer Konrad Rozwadowski at 860-533-8620.
