MANCHESTER, CT — The latest business promotion in Downtown Manchester includes several curbside pickup spots along Main Street.

The Downtown Manchester Special Services District Friday announced the launch of its "Love Local –Curb Local" promotion. The Downtown District has designated 15 curbside pickup spots on Main Street. The spots can now be utilized for "low-contact" shopping and dining at any participating downtown business.

Here's how it works:

  • When an order is placed for food or products, ask the business if it participates in curbside pickup.
  • Place the order.
  • Park in a curbside pickup spot and call the business.
  • Stay in the car and wait for the order to be delivered.

Also, now through Feb, 20, every curbside pickup order earns an entry into a drawing for a $100 gift card:

  • Place a Curbside Pickup order at a participating business.
  • Receive a Curb Local card with the your receipt.
  • After Feb. 20 send a photo of all cards to dmssd@manchesterct.gov.
  • Each card in the photo will equal one entry into the prize drawing for a $100 gift card to a Downtown Business of your choice.
As customers collect their Curb Local cards they need to pay attention to the letters in an effort to get five cards to spell "LOCAL." The first four people to spell LOCAL and email the photo to dmssd@manchesterct.gov will automatically win a $50 gift card.

Receipts will be needed to confirm the five purchases.
