Police Looking For Car, Driver After Manchester Pedestrian Crash

A woman was hit on a stretch of highway in Manchester early Wednesday.

MANCHESTER, CT — State police are looking for a Honda sedan and the person behind the wheel after a highway collision with a pedestrian in Manchester early Wednesday morning.

The crash took place at 12:01 a.m. After state police received several 911 calls about a woman lying in the road on Interstate-384, troopers located the 22-year-old from Columbia on the eastbound side. just west of Exit 4 with what they termed "traumatic" injuries, according t0 a a crash report.

Her injuries were consistent with being hit by a car but no vehicle was at the scene, according to a crash report.

Police are now looking for a gray Honda Civic from between 2006 and 2011 with a missing passenger-side mirror, damage to one or both of the wheels and dirt and grass lodged underneath, according to a crash report.

Police released a photo of what the car might look like.
