Car Crashes into Two-Story House on Center St. in Manchester

A report of a car crashing into a house sent police and emergency crews scrambling and headed to 872 Center St. (Route 44) in Manchester this afternoon, NBC Connecticut reported.

According to the early report, it wasn’t yet clear whether or not anyone was injured or hurt or the extent of damage, if any, to the building. A later report by NBC Connecticut said a neighbor who ran out and talked to the driver said she was confused but unhurt.

The car veered off the road, across the front lawn and struck the front of the home, which received only minor damage, according to the NBC Connecticut report. The neighbor said the crash sounded like a thunderstorm.
