SCSU's Fox, A Manchester Native, Named To NE10 All-Rookie Squad

Southern reliever and Manchester resident Fox has earned all-league honors.

MANCHESTER, CT — Southern Connecticut Tate University pitcher and Manchester resident Spencer Fox has been named to the Northeast 10 Conference all-rookie team.

SCSU officials announced the selction Wednesday.

Fox had a break-out year for the Owls out of the bullpen, leading all SCSU relievers with a 3.32 ERA, which ranked 12th in the NE10.

Fox also finished the year with a record of 2-0 with one save and logged 15 consecutive innings without giving up a run.

His top performance of the season came against rival New Haven when he came out of the bullpen to put in 4 2/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit ball with a season-best seven strikeouts to earn his first career victory.

Fox played his his interscholastic baseball at Manchester High School.
