Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Hartford/Tolland County
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible tonight, the weather service said.

NORTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Hartford, Tolland and Litchfield counties until midnight.
"Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible tonight. The main threat would be damaging winds, however a tornado or two cannot be ruled out," the weather service said.

Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 62. South wind 6 to 9 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 79. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
