Shot Fired At Vehicle On Street In Manchester: Police

A vehicle was fired upon on a Manchester street Thursday, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Academy Street early Thursday morning.

At 2:40 a.m., a resident was leaving his home and noticed a four-door maroon sedan with tinted windows and a temporary registration plate traveling slowly on Academy Street, according to a police report.

The resident told police the car pulled in front of his vehicle and blocked the road, according to an incident report. Two men exited the maroon sedan with handguns and approached the resident's vehicle, police said.

As the resident attempted to drive around the maroon sedan, one of the men fired a handgun and the bullet struck the driver’s side window.

The resident was not injured and was able to drive out of the immediate area, police said.

The suspects are being described in a police report as "Black males" wearing hooded sweatshirts and neck gaiters.
