Special Weather Statement Issued For Hartford, Tolland Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties for tonight and Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service says, "...SLIPPERY CONDITIONS POSSIBLE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...Rainfall ends this evening. However, roadways may remain damp into Sunday morning, at which point temperatures are expected to dip to near or below freezing.

Given this,there is a risk for localized ice to develop on untreated roadways and walkways in the morning. This is mainly a heads-up. If the risk remains for slippery conditions, another special
statement will be issued overnight with more details and locations."
