Warrant Issued For Suspect In Manchester Shooting
Manchester police Tuesday were searching for a suspect in a shooting on Maple Street.

MANCHESTER, CT — A manhunt is on for a suspect in a Manchester shooting.
At 12:45 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to 145 Maple St. after receiving word about a shooting. According to a police report, officers found a victim on the floor of the residence with a single gunshot wound.
Police said the victim was conscious and was speaking to officers being being transported to Hartford Hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening, according to case records.

Police said the shooter was identified as 32-year-old Corey Jenkins of Manchester.
Jenkins was still at large Tuesday and police released an image of him too aid in the search. He being described as a black male weighing 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Jenkins has been in contact with investigators but his whereabouts are unknown. Police said it is possible Jenkins is attempting to flee the state.
A warrant has been issued for Jenkins in relation to the shooting, police said. The weapon used has not been recovered and Jenkins should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
