Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hartford, Tolland County
Here are new details on the wintry weather about to move into the region, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties beginning 8 p.m. until 9 a.m. Monday.
The weather service says, "Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze... Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions may impact the morning commute.
"ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Pockets of freezing drizzle will begin this evening across parts of the area, but steadier rain will hold off until later tonight into Monday morning. Temperatures will
be near or below freezing, so any rain will freeze on untreated
surfaces.

The greatest risk for light icing will be across the Worcester hills and the Berkshires where the coldest temperatures are expected. However, near freezing temperatures with pockets of freezing rain are possible across the Merrimack valley and portions of the Connecticut Valley. The precipitation will become all rain by mid morning Monday as temperatures rise above freezing."

Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 41. North wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Monday Night
Showers, mainly before 3am. Patchy fog before 7pm. Low around 34. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday
A chance of showers, mainly before 7am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 47. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
