$1,400 Gold Chain Stolen From Macy's, 2 Charged: Milford PD

Two men fled on foot and were later found after a foot pursuit, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Hartford man and a New Haven man are accused of stealing a $1,400 gold chain from the jewelry counter at Macy's in Milford, police said.

On May 8, police said they responded to the retailer at the mall on a report of a larceny.

Investigation led to the arrests of Travis Leathers, 20, of Grant Street in Hartford, and Luis Cabrera, 26, of Munson Street in New Haven, who are accused of stealing a $1,400 gold chain from the jewelry counter, police said.

Cabrera was also found to be in possession of a gold cross necklace from Macy’s, police said.

Leathers and Cabrera fled on foot and were later found after a foot pursuit, police said.

They are both charged with fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, and interfering with an officer.
