WILLIAM CHRISTOPHER BROCAR (lovingly known to his family as ?Butch?),

Age 78, of Milford entered into peaceful rest on November 25, 2025. He was the Beloved husband of Sandra E. (Brannon) Brocar. He was born on January 29, 1947 in New Haven, CT and was the son of the late William and Edna (Stratton) Brocar. In addition to his devoted wife and soulmate, Sandi, he leaves his three loving children, Kimberly Sue Brocar-Marchesseault of Landaff, N.H., Sheri Lynn Malia of Milford, CT., and Christopher William Brocar and his wife, Lisa, of Canton, CT.
In addition, he leaves his four adored grandchildren, Shepherd W. Marchesseault, Summer Love Malia, Dylan C. Brocar, and Makayla A. Brocar, and his two loyal fur babies, Molly Fay and Luna Mae. He also leaves his sister, Melanie Simmons of Bradford, VT as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Rosemarie Creamer and brother, Mark Brocar.
He was a graduate of Jonathan Law High School and proudly served his country In the U.S. Air Force as a Crew Chief on the C-130 Transport Planes during the Vietnam War. He subsequently worked for AT&T in Stamford, CT, as well as Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone, MD and The Allegheny County Health Department in Cumberland, MD before moving back to Milford.
His passion was golf and he loved playing in the Senior Golf League on Tuesdays and with his friends every Friday at The Orchard. A very special occasion consisted of playing nine holes with his son and grandson. He loved listening to and singing his favorite rock and roll songs from the 1960?s, fishing and taking long walks with the love of his life on the boardwalk at Walnut Beach.
Bill was always very optimistic and tried to look on the bright side of every situation - ?the
glass is always half full? was one of his favorite sayings. He taught his children through his own
shining example to ?Always Do The Next Right Thing?. He was a strong, determined man whose ability to overcome many difficult obstacles in his life with humility and grace was a true testament of his character and an inspiration to his family and friends. His sense of humor was contagious and his squeaky laugh was infectious. His positivity and kindness to others made the world a better place.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all their friends and neighbors For their generosity, support and encouragement, as well as to the compassionate medical staff at the West Haven Veterans? Hospital, the doctors and nurses at Yale-New Haven?s Cardiac Unit, numerous EMT?s for their efforts and Milford Police personnel.
Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the GREGORY DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, CT.
