4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Near Milford

MILFORD, CT — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day.

July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Milford so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in Milford:

Milford's Downtown Fireworks event, which is the kickoff to summer, will be held on June 26 and a rain date of July 10 has been picked, said Daniel Worroll, who organizes the annual event.

Worroll said the fireworks event will be held throughout the downtown area from 4-11 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. There will be two bands performing, Sapphire from 4-7 p.m., and Rum Runners from 7:30 until 11 p.m.

Attendees are urged to visit downtown restaurants, Worroll said.

Shuttle busses will be offered from Harborside Middle School, Daniel Wasson Field and the Milford Senior Center. Parking will be restricted for much of the downtown area.

Worroll thanked the Devon Rotary and Milford Bank for its generous donations which helped ensure the event is being held.

"It should be a good time," said Worroll, while adding that the fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. He said this will be the "biggest" fireworks bash ever in Milford as vendors had a lot of extra stock due to the mass cancellations in 2020.
