All Milford Students Return To In-Person Learning On Monday

School officials say they hope that in-person learning will be offered five days a week by the spring.

MILFORD, CT — Milford Superintendent of Schools Anna Cutaia said all students will be returning to in-person education on Monday, Jan. 11.

In a letter to staff and parents she wrote:

"Our plan is to still bring back all students, PK-12, for Tier 1 learning on Monday, January 11, 2021. This includes abbreviated in-person learning days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and distance learning on Wednesday.

We will continue to implement all safety protocols and safeguards that have been in place since the first day of school this year. These protocols have kept us safe to date and I am confident they will continue to do so.

Moving forward, we hope to add more in-person learning days. Our first step will be to add Wednesdays as in-person days. We are hoping to start this in late February/early March. This is, of course, subject to change as we continue to monitor the factors outlined above.

It is our hope to return to full-time, five days a week instruction this spring. We will, of course, continue to collaborate with our partners in the Milford Health Department as we consider and implement changes to our in-person schedule.

I continue to be grateful for your understanding and support in light of all we’ve been through in the last 11 months," Cutaia wrote.
