Alleged Milford Purse Snatcher Arrested

A 28-year-old West Haven man was arrested Wednesday on robbery and larceny charges.

Joshua Gray is accused of swiping a purse from an elderly woman in the parking lot of Barnes & Noble on the Boston Post Road on July 25.

The woman suffered minor injuries from being dragged by Gray’s car, police said. For his alleged involvement, Gray was charged with third-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and assault on an elderly person.

Gray is also a suspect in a July 24 incident in which police say a pocketbook was taken from a car in the Adams parking lot at 1365 New Haven Ave. For that alleged offense, the West Haven man was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
