Boba Lounge Opens In Downtown Milford

The shop promises to bring a variety of bubble tea flavors for both newcomers and enthusiasts to enjoy.

MILFORD, CT ? Boba Lounge has opened marking the addition of a new business in Downtown Milford.

A ribbon-cutting was held at the 16 Daniel St. shop to celebrate its grand opening Saturday, according to the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce.

"Boba Lounge is a new bubble tea shop bringing a variety of refreshing and unique bubble tea flavors to the community. Whether you're a bubble tea enthusiast or trying it for the first time, Boba Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious drink," the chamber wrote in a statement. "Make sure to visit this new establishment in downtown Milford!"

Boba tea, or bubble tea, includes chewy tapioca balls. The drink originated in Taiwan in the 1980s.

Boba Lounge's menu includes a variety of flavors of milk tea from matcha to mango to caramel. They also carry iced tea drinks, shaved ice, and espresso drinks. Treats like macaroons and cake are also on the menu.

For now, Boba Lounge only offers takeout, but they plan to create a dining experience for their customers in the near future, according to the chamber.

The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Boba Lounge is currently closed Mondays and Tuesday.
