Christopher Plaskson Sues CT, Seeks $300K Over Medical Care

The Hartford Courant reports that Plaskon, who was convicted of killing Maren Sanchez, 16, has filed a suit against the DOC.

MILFORD, CT — Christopher Plaskson, who is serving a 25-year prison sentence for fatally stabbing Maren Sanchez, 16, at Jonathan Law High School in 2014, has filed suit against the state Department of Corrections, the Hartford Courant reports.

Plaskon, who is acting as his own attorney, is seeking $300,000 and claims in the 23-page handwritten lawsuit that the state failed to adequately address his severe stomach issues, which includes severe pain, nausea and diarrhea, the Courant's Nicholas Rondinone reports. The stomach woes date back to 2018, the suit claims.

Maren Sanchez was fatally stabbed in April 2014 after she turned down Plaskon's prom invitation. Plaskon, who was 16 at the time, pleaded no contest to murder. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison but could be out of jail after 13 years.
