Cops: Milford Man Stole Phone Card at Knifepoint
Faces robbery, larceny and breach of peace charges.

A Milford man was arrested Sunday morning for allegedly stealing a pre-paid phone card from a local convenience store at knifepoint
Jason Riendeau, 30, of Merwin Avenue displayed two knives during the alleged incident at the On the Run Mobil gas station, 1354 Boston Post Road, at about 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

Riendeau was charged with first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace. He was held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Last month, an alleged attempted armed robbery at another gas station on the Boston Post Road turned fatal when the suspect reportedly failed to listen to a state trooper’s directives.
