CT Weather: Memorial Day Forecast Isn't Looking So Good Now
There was optimism that the forecast for Memorial Day may feature sun but now those hopes seem to be fading.
CONNECTICUT — Yesterday, it looked like the sun would return for Memorial Day after a rainy Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Now that appears to be a long shot and clouds and scattered rain showers may continue through the day on Memorial Day.
The sun is now forecast to return Tuesday and then from Wednesday-Friday rain showers are forecast each day.
Most of the state has already picked up an inch or two of rain as of Saturday morning and another inch or more is expected to fall through Monday. The strongest wind gusts so far have been recorded in Greenwich at 47 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
