CT Weather: Temperatures Heat Up For Father's Day Weekend
The National Weather Service also said there is a chance for thunderstorms late Friday and Saturday afternoon in Connecticut.
CONNECTICUT — Our beautiful weather continues on Thursday with an abundance of sunshine and comfortable temperatures.
Friday also looks good during the day with more sunshine and temperatures rising into the low to mid 80s across the state.
Our first chance for storms is in the overnight hours early Saturday and then again on Saturday afternoon. Initially, the Saturday forecast looked worrisome with lots of clouds and rain chances, but things have improved and there should be some sun but still a risk of a rain shower and or thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening hours.

Father's Day itself looks great, with sunshine and temperatures rising into the mid to upper 80s. Temperatures will warm up as the weekend progresses. Things look to stay hot and humid on Monday and Tuesday too as rain showers and more storms are possible both days.
WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons said on social media, "A shower or a thunderstorm Friday night and very early Saturday. Saturday day is actually looking better now although there could be a quick thunderstorm in the afternoon. Heating up and quiet for Father’s Day and Monday of early next week!"

Heating up for Dad's weekend - Chance for an early morning shower Saturday. Then turning warmer and more humid with the chance for an afternoon shower/storm. The timing of showers could shift a bit as we get closer. Still plenty of time for golf, Aram <--my husband #fox61 pic.twitter.com/z2Oakou5eu
