CT Weather: Thunderstorms Moving In Monday Night, Tuesday

CONNECTICUT — Portions of Connecticut could see strong thunderstorms Monday evening and there is a better chance for more widespread storms across the entire state on Tuesday.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for until 11 p.m. Monday for Litchfield County.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Hartford County as the National Weather Service said, "There is a low risk of an isolated strong thunderstorm this evening across western portions of Massachusetts and Connecticut. Strong wind gusts is the main concern."

For the remainder of the state, there is an approximate 30 percent chance of showers and storms Monday night, especially in the western parts of the state.

On Tuesday, there is a chance for showers and storms throughout the day with chances ending by 8 p.m.
