Devon Bridge Receives $245.92 million In Federal Funding For Repairs

The Devon Bridge Replacement Project will provide a safe and reliable bridge crossing.

MILFORD, CT ? The Devon Bridge is getting repairs after funding was approved by the Northeast Corridor (NEC) Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program.

The Devon Bridge Replacement Project is part of a larger $2 billion federal funding bill from the Bipartisan Infrastructure law for Rail Projects benefiting projects across the state.

For the Devon Bridge Replacement Project, the $245.92 million in funding will provide a safe and reliable bridge crossing for rail over the river and marine navigation under the rail. The Devon Bridge is a critical transportation link between Stamford and New Haven on MNR?s New Haven Line and between New York and Boston on Amtrak?s NEC and carries 6,300 passengers daily.
