Downtown Milford Restaurant, Pub Celebrates 60 Years

The establishment has been run by the same family for four generations and is the oldest in downtown.

MILFORD, CT ? Seven Seas Restaurant and Pub celebrated its 60th anniversary recently. The downtown establishment is the oldest in downtown.

Since 1965, it's been run by the same family and is now in the fourth generation.

Mayor Anthony Giannattasio presented owner Richard Smith with a proclamation recently. He called Seven Seas "a landmark" and noted that people come "from all over the state" to enjoy its award-winning lobster rolls and fish and chips.

Giannattasio also called Seven Seas "a vital part of our community," noting that it supports local events, charitable organizations, and sports teams.

"Here?s to many more years of delicious memories!" the city wrote in a Facebook post.

Seven Seas is located at 16 New Haven Ave. In addition to a wide variety of seafood, the restaurant and pub serves wings, soups and salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more.
