Driver Seriously Injured In Milford Crash: Police

A driver crashed into the woods near Erna Avenue at Junior Street, Milford police said.

MILFORD, CT — A driver was seriously injured in a crash near Erna Avenue at Junior Street Monday morning, according to Milford police.

Police said officers responded to the crash at 11:04 a.m. The driver of a black 2016 Mazda CX-5 left the roadway while traveling northbound on Erna Avenue, police said. The vehicle went down an embankment adjacent to Lucius Court before coming to rest in a wooded area, police said.

The driver was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
