Driving on the Wrong Side of the Street Leads to DUI Charge: Police

Milford police say they stopped a vehicle on Dec. 13 in the area of Golden Hill Street and Beardsley Avenue when they noticed it was being operated on the wrong side of the street.

Anthony Belle, 36, of 526 Norman St. in Bridgeport is accused of allegedly operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and allegedly refused to provide a breath sample, according to police.

Belle is charged with failure to drive right, failure to drive in the proper lane, and driving under the influence.

Belle’s bond was set at $500 and he was given a court date of Jan. 7, 2016.
