MILFORD, CT — The Milford Fire Department was very busy Thursday morning due to a truck fire.

Fire crews responded at 6 a.m. to a truck fire at 81 Munson Street. Six minutes later, fire crews arrived to find a large dump truck with heavy fire throughout its engine and passenger compartment area, officials said.

"The vehicle was extremely close to the structure, exposing the building to fire," officials said. "Fire crews quickly advanced fire attack hoses while simultaneously checking the interior of the building for fire extension. The fire was quickly contained with no damage to the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Milford Fire Department Fire Marshall’s Division."
