Milford Restaurant Week The first-ever Milford Restaurant Week starts Monday, Oct. 7 -- and 21 local eateries are participating. “The idea is to whet the appetite of residents,” says Priscilla Lynn, executive director of the Downtown Milford Business Association, which is co-hosting the event with the Milford Chamber of Commerce.

Flu Shot Clinics There will be two flu shot clinics at the Milford Senior Center, 9 Jepson Drive, Monday, Oct. 7 and Wednesday, Oct. 9, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please do not arrive before 9 a.m. Preregistration is available by calling 203.877.5131, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please have your insurance information available when you call.

Laughter Yoga at Milford Library A fun-filled demonstration by certified Laughter Yoga instructor Connie Pino. Funded by the Friends of Milford Library. Starts at 7 p.m.

Free Gambling Awareness Workshop Gambling Awareness "What does the upcoming expansion in CT mean to my community?" Engage in the discussion of upcoming Keno and OTB slot expansion and the potential impact on our communities.

Preserving Wealth in Retirement Discussion will revolve around the challenges retirees may face in the risk of running out of money in retirement. Presentation will include retirement risks, distribution strategy objectives, our planning process, and choices facing today's retirees.

Law Gives Back Support the troops, Friday, Oct. 11, as the Jonathan Law Lawmen take on the Yellowjackets of East Haven. Donate one or more personal care/toiletry item to receive $1 off of your admission price. Members of the military will receive free admission upon showing their Military ID.
