Former Fire Station No. 5 Finally Slated to become Borough of Woodmont New Home
Borough officials say it's taken more time than they had hoped.

Milford’s Borough of Woodmont fire station No. 5 is slated to become the new home for their governing body, according to a report by the Connecticut Post.
“It’s taken more time than we had hoped,” said Borough Warden Ed Bonessi via the Connecticut Post.
Officials said they are waiting for approval from the state to use the building.

The keys were given for $1 in the fall of 2013, however, the building must also serve as an emergency center and shelter, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Borough received a $500,000 via a state Small Town Economic Assistance Program grant for the project.

The Borough of Woodmont has an annual budget of $121,000 and has its own separate taxing district, according to a report from the Connecticut Post.
The move may not happen in February.
