Former Site Of Iconic Eatery In Milford To Be Redeveloped

The local eatery which has been in Milford for 30 plus years moved in 2020 to its new home and the old site will be redeveloped.

MILFORD, CT — The former site of Bobette's Take - Out Bistro will be redeveloped into a mixed-use building at 93 Boston Post Road.

And to be 100 percent clear, Bobette's is very much still in business and has been operating at its new home at 127 Gulf Street since May 2020.

A developer last week received approval to turn the former deli's home into a mixed-use facility.

Plans include demolishing the building, which has already been done, and replacing it with a mixed-use building comprising two, 2-bedroom units and just over 1,800-square-feet of commercial space, according to zoning meeting minutes.

There will be a total of 14 parking spaces. The applicant is PRC Properties, LLC and their attorney is Thomas Lynch, of Milford.

In a social media post from May 1, 2020, Bobette's shared that after 31 years of operation at 93 Boston Post Road the take-out eatery was moving to its new home at 127 Gulf Street.

In that May 2020 announcement the owners said, "We have worked with and also served some of the greatest, nicest and most generous people Bobette and I have ever met. In fact many of our customers and staff are now our friends."
